Nannies including neonatal specialists are contract employees meaning that Savvy Southern Belle Agency matches your with a family who will be your employer.
We help negotiate your contract from beginning to end to ensure that you and your chosen family are pleased with terms of contract.
Your rate of pay is variable due to your level of experience, expertise, and duties you negotiate.
We provide a guideline to families to help them determine the average salaries to expect to pay. Additionally, we provide them with a list of common benefits that should be offered such as basic healthcare or healthcare expense account, gym/country club membership, etc.
Nanny
Experienced: $12-16 hourly ($500-$700 weekly)
Expert/Experienced: $16-22 hourly ($700-weekly)
Our childcare specialists must meet the specific minimum requirements:

A United States citizen or able to work in the United States with proof of documentation

21 years or older (18 years or older for sitters)

Valid Social Security Card bearing legal name with security trace

Background Screening (child abuse registry, sex offender registry, felony and misdemeanor check, driving record, employment verification, and U.S. education verification

Negative Tuberculosis (TB) Test or Chest X-ray (taken within 12 months)

Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification (we offer training for $65)

Knowledge of child development as evidenced by a combination of at least two of the following:

At least 30 college credit hours in early childhood development, education, or psychology (college degrees are preferred)

At least 2 years experience working with children (with degree) or 3 years experience (without degree). More experience is required for baby nurses and doulas.

At least 12 clock hours in childcare education (development, nutrition, child play, etc). Training will be obtained prior to placement.

Passing score on the International Nanny Association (INA) basic skills test

Certification in a specialization dealing with children

Nanny and Sitters
Here's how we match you to your family:
Step 1
Complete an Employment Application and submit all supporting documents including background check authorization form, CPR/First Aid cards, copies of all childcare certifications, and a letter of recommendation from former a family, if available.
Step 2
We will review your application. If you qualify, we will contact you to set up for an agency interview and background checks. Applicants are asked to submit a recent picture that will be used in a password-protected profile for families to view.
Step 3
Nanny and Neonatal Specialist : If you are a match for a family, we will forward your information to the family to arrange a face-to-face interview.
Sitters: Will begin to recieve text alerts of available positions with details of zipcode, family size, ages of child(ren), date, and times needed. You will need to call office to confirm if you are able to take assignment. Once you confirm, we will set appointment and provide you with family's name, contact number, and address.
